You start strong every year. You have a plan, or at least, a vague sense of a pla. (Phoebe really gave us a good one there 😆 ).
The kitchen will happen the week before, the bedrooms earlier, the car at some point, and you’ll definitely get to that one closet everyone keeps shoving things into.
And then one kid gets sick, work gets too busy, and Shabbos comes and suddenly you’re three days behind and you can’t do remember if you already did the playroom or just thought about doing the playroom.
The plan that lived in your head is now gone, and you’re standing in your kitchen at 11pm wondering how this happened. Again.
Introducing the Pesach Prep Planner
It’s at pesach.thedailytea.org and it’s free.

Here’s what it does: it takes all the mental chaos of Pesach cleaning: the rooms, the tasks, the timeline, the “who’s doing what”, and puts it somewhere you can actually see it. With a dashboard, a schedule and a system that doesn’t rely on your fried brain to remember everything.
What’s Inside
A real dashboard. Open it up and you can see exactly where you’re up to. What’s done, what’s in progress, what hasn’t been touched yet. No more mental math trying to figure out how behind you are.
Drag-and-drop scheduling. You’ve got tasks, and you’ve got days. Drag the tasks onto the days where they need to go. Move things around when plans change (because they will). It’s flexible in the way that paper checklists never will be.

Room-by-room organization. Kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, basement, car, whatever your house looks like. Break it down by space so nothing gets forgotten and you’re not trying to hold the whole picture in your head at once.
Assign people to tasks. This is the part I hope you use all the way.
You can delegate - assign specific tasks to specific people and actually track whether it got done. Husband said he’d do the garage? Great, it’s assigned to him. Teenager is handling her own room? It’s on the board. You don’t have to be the only one who knows the plan anymore.
A countdown. Because sometimes you just need to see the number. It’s clarifying. Stressful, maybe, but clarifying.

I’ve tried the paper checklists and I’ve tried the notes app. I’ve tried the “I’ll just remember” approach (spoiler: I did not just remember).
What I needed was something visual that I could glance at and immediately know where things stood. And something that let me move tasks around when a kid got a stomach bug and the whole week’s plan went sideways.
So we built it. And now you can use it too.
How to Use It
Go to pesach.thedailytea.org.
Add your rooms.
Add your tasks.
Drag them onto your calendar.
Assign them if you want.
Check things off as you go.
Watch the dashboard update and feel that tiny hit of satisfaction when you see actual progress.
That’s it.
One More Thing
This won’t make Pesach cleaning fun, ok? Let’s be honest.
But it might make it feel less like you’re drowning in a to-do list that only exists in your head. It might, it just might, help you see that you’re actually making progress, even when it doesn’t feel like it.
That’s the dream, anyway.
pesach.thedailytea.org - go take a look. And if you have feedback, I want to hear it. This is version one, and we’re already thinking about what comes next.
Let me know in the comments how your Pesach prep is going. Misery loves company, and so does productivity.
